Welcome to the Troop 39 website.  Founded in 1916, Boy Scout Troop 39 primarily serves the youth in Manchester and Shortsville, NY.

Troop meetings are held every Thursday at 6:45 PM at the AM Bennett Memorial building.

The Bennett Building is located on Clifton Street across from the Manchester fire hall.

 

Pinewood Derby

The Cub Scout Pinewood Derby and Girl Scout Powderpuff Derby. Registration for the Girl Scouts begins at 8:00 am and racing starts at 8:45. Registration for the Cub Scouts begins at 10:00 am and racing starts at 11:00. Several Scouts are needed to help out in the pits and with checking in cars!!

Fish Fry

Electronics Night

There will be a change of venue for this years Electronics Night. We will meet at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, in Canandaigua. Drop off will be at 6:30 Friday Evening and Pickup no later than 7:30 Saturday. Join us for Electronics, Gaming, Fellowship and of course Dodgeball.

Christmas events

There is a lot happening at the Dec 14th meeting. In addition to the camporee planning session, Christmas baskets for local families in need will be assembled. Depending on your patrol's approach you should be bringing wrapped presents or a cash contribution. Presents should have a note taped on stating who they were for, such as boy 5 or girl 6. 

Scouting for Food

Troop 39 will be cooking Breakfast for all Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and scouters participating in Scouting for Food on Saturday. If you can help out, please plan on being at the Bennet Building at 7:30 on Saturday to set up. Door hanger distribution will begin at 9;00.

Trophy Challenge Camporee commitments

The 19th Annual Challenge Trophy Camporee will be held October 20th - 22nd at Camp Babcock Hovey. Commitments are due this week! With over 550 events this year, the CTC is one of the premeire camporees in our area. The cost is $15 for the weekend. We will be leaving at 6:30 PM Sharp on Friday evening, so dont be late!  More information is available at the Troop 39 Calendar , the CTC Facebook Page or at challengetrophycamporee.org.
